GearTalk Biblical Theology

Starting a New Year in God’s Word

Episode Summary

Today, our focus is on reading God’s word. Many Christians read a portion of the Bible each day. There are a lot of helpful Bible reading plans out there that provide God’s people with a schedule for reading through the Bible in a specific period of time, like, perhaps, a year. On this podcast, Tom talks about our GearTalk Bible Reading Plan and why it’s structured like it is. This plan is based on Jason DeRouchie’s Kingdom Bible Reading Plan, and we have found it very helpful for a number of reasons. You’ll hear about some of these reasons today. You can sign up for the GearTalk Bible Reading Plan at handstotheplow.org. If you want to go to the site now, and check out or sign up for the plan, it may help you as Tom talks about the specific readings in this first week of January. We’ll also put a link to the reading plan in our show notes.
